It was their second-to-last stop on a 5 week, 12 city tour across the US. Jasmine Star‘s theFIX. We pulled up at the same time as the SHOWIT/PASS bus and eagerly waited to greet everyone and get started with the set-up. As we unloaded gear and strategically placed chairs, we made new friends and got re-acquainted with old ones.
Within just a few hours, the gorgeous Madrone Studios in San Francisco was all set for the evening. As Jasmine spoke, our minds began racing on what we needed to do to re-define our business for 2012. We identified weaknesses as well as strengths, and are coming up with an action plan to put all these changes into effect. The best part, however, was exactly as my friend Jenny stated: “…just being in a room full of photographers who genuinely want to network and help each other advance in the industry. You tend to get that feeling every time you’re in the same room with Jasmine Star.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Every time I have the opportunity to meet and learn from Jasmine I walk away with more and different bits of wisdom in running a business and overall being a better person/photographer/friend. I wish I had the opportunity to tell her how much I appreciate that she takes the time to update her content with every presentation she does…of course it makes me always want to come back for more!
Kenzie got to meet Jasmine in Vegas when we were there just a few weeks ago for WPPI and Showit United. Such a lucky girl to meet her twice in one year (hopefully her older sister doesn’t get jealous). ;)Andrew Barlow, Lydia Takeoka, Jihan Cerda, Shannon Morse & Vitaliy Prokopets, and . Thank you to Lydia & Tim King for the photos below. (Please, go like these fab people on facebook!) AND…to everyone who helped Kenzie feel welcome with all the love and snuggles…Thank you! She loves this community as much as we do! (I’m thinking Jasmine and JD look awful cute holding a baby…agreed?) ;)
