bethany and doug | san francisco wedding

her eyes sparkled with delight as she thought about what was taking place that day.  the day that she had waited and prepared for to finally arrive.  the day when she would pledge her love and commitment to the man that God had prepared for her.

i’ve been looking forward to bethany and doug’s wedding ever since i heard of their engagement, and then of course even more after their engagement session last fall.  last saturday at hamilton square baptist church, their marriage ceremony was a beautiful reminder of Christ and His love for the church.  amidst scattered showers, rays of sunshine, and in the presence of several hundred loved ones, they made a lifelong promise to each other.

bethany and doug, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful day.  it was truly a blessing to witness!

after the reception, we braved the sudden downpour and had a fun and rather private session at the palace of fine arts before sending them off on their honeymoon…

Kay - Katie, these pictures have got to be some of the best wedding ones you’ve taken. They’re excellent! You really captured their personalities–I don’t know anything about Doug and how they’d complement each other but I see they do b/c of your pictures. Great job!ReplyCancel

Mindy Morris - Katie, these are beautiful! You did an amazing job. One of my favorites is of Bethany with her dad walking down the aisle and they are glancing at Cynthia! Very well done!!!ReplyCancel

Sue - I second Mindy’s favorite. My favorite of Bethany is the close up by the green door. Stunning! These are all really, really, really good. I come back at least twice a day to look at happiness :).ReplyCancel
